About Toni
Toni earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Wilkes University and worked as a therapist in an inpatient psychiatric unit for many years. It was her passion for patient care and evaluation, one-on-one therapy and group sessions that inspired her to help people on a deeper level.
She then went on to get her Masters of Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She worked at various pain management clinics in Brooklyn and Newark before starting her own practice, Acupuncture Healing, in 2001.
As part of her continuing desire to learn and grow, Toni studied Reiki and Spirituality for many years and obtained a Master Degree level of Reiki. She also studied with Shamanic and Vortex Healer, Michael Taylor learning the Native American teachings of Spirit of Fire and Wind of Great Spirit. Toni continues to study with many different healers and teachers.
Toni studied with Peter Holmes L.Ac, M.H. and Tiffany Pollard M.S, L.Ac, co-founders of Aroma Acupoint Therapy and achieved both Level I and Level II in Aroma Acupoint Therapy. She has integrated Aroma Acupoint Therapy, which is a gentle, safe and profoundly effective treatment modality that utilizes the energetic potential of pure essential oils, into her practice with great success. She is a certified instructor in Aroma Acupoint Therapy. Toni also just completed a year long Master Healer Program with Tiffany Pollard M.S., L.Ac.
Toni appreciates the concept of Chinese medicine, as it approaches health and healing from a truly holistic perspective, viewing and treating each person as unique from everyone else. With its rich 3,000 year old tradition, there is a never ending wealth of healing knowledge to draw upon.
In Chinese medicine, each person is viewed uniquely. Even those patients who come in for treatment for problems that look the same symptomatically or from a western diagnostic perspective, the underlying reason why dis-ease occurs in each person differs from one to the other, therefore treatment has to be tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
